Once upon a planet dreary
Came a rocket engine cheery
On a flight to test a theory
On Mars's frigid desert floor!
Did life arise spontaneous
Or some alien's trash extraneous
Seed the globe that now contains us?
Quoth the lander: "Either-or."
-- Unknown
Absolutely brilliant I wish I could find out who wrote it and give them a pat on the back. Anyway...
The mars lander found water. Sorry for the delay in re-reporting it, I've barely gotten any sleep lately. It's exciting to think that at one point it may have sustained life; Or that decades from now we may be using it to sustain ourselves! (wishful thinking, I know ^^) Though I'm a firm believer in Einstein, I'm still rooting for that next major breakthrough in physics that will allow us to bend the rules a bit, and travel faster than light. I'd even settle for a mere 100% the speed of light engine ^^. Someone make it work soon.... please?

Sketch-a-Week
In an effort to learn how to art better I'm trying to make at least 1 sketch image per week. It helps me stay in shape and hopefully I'll see some improvement over time. So for the next few weeks, enjoy the randomness that comes out of my pencil.
Soon it'll be time to go
I can't believe I'm graduating. Four years have gone in the blink of an eye. Cliche but true. The realization that I'm leaving soon hasn't quite settled. In my mind I know it's happening slowly, as if everything and everyone is slipping inch by inch. A day doesn't go by that I don't imagine what college will be like, on my own entirely for the first time and beyond quick reach of home. I catch myself daydreaming a lot, staring down a familiar school hallway and remembering some silly little thing that happened, or passing through an old classroom and listening to a former teacher with her underclassmen. It's always small random and seemingly
Happy Holidays to everyone!
Merry Christmas! Happy holidays, and Happy New Year to everyone on DA. More substantial update to come, I promise. In the meantime, everyone enjoy the holidays, let's make 2009 an awesome New Year!
Busy, busy and still busy...
What with college applications coming up soon I've had no time at all for anything else! It's a bit depressing but I'll make it through. It bothers me how counter-intuitive the whole process is. So many forms and essays and papers have to come together, and it gets really difficult to keep track of it all. I'll be glad when this is all over ><
My AP Studio class is sucking all the art juice out of me. We're expected to produce one new piece of finished artwork per week. And I'm talking large canvas sized artwork. It's tough, especially around college season. Until I send out all of my applications, I'll take it one day at a time.
